Joey Tan BSc, MBA is Manager, Sales and Marketing at Eurofins | ams. He has a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Microbiology and a MBA specializing in Marketing, both from the National University of Singapore.

In 2004, when he was still in Singapore, he joined a Government Agency that was tasked to spearhead the development of the Biomedical industy. He was actively involved in helping them set up their Animal Biosafety Level 3 (ABSL3) laboratory.

He then moved on to the largest private healthcare group in Singapore (also one of the largest in Asia) as Regional Marketing Manager. During his tenure there, he was in-charge of all the sales and marketing activities in Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia and The Philippines. 

Subsequently, he joined a Singapore Biotech start-up (a private start-up funded by the Singapore Government) as Business Development Manager. He was instrumental in setting up all the business framework, sales function and the Customer Service department in the company.

In 2014, he migrated to Australia and joined Eurofins | ams (known as ams Laboratories then). The unique marriage of his science and commerce background is in-line with what ams Laboratories was striving for. He developed ams Laboratories' Corporate Identity guide, which was vital for strengthening and building its brand equity. 

In March 2016, ams Laboratories was acquired by Eurofins Scientific and was rebranded to Eurofins | ams. He was instrumental in the rebranding exercise of the company to "Eurofins | ams". With his training and work experience in Marketing, Branding and Business Development, he is an important asset in helping the company continue its growth and expansion.

He is responsible for managing and growing our existing client base. He proactively manages client relationships and is the bridge between the clients and the technical team in the laboratory; making sure that the customers get the quality service they deserve.

Working closely with the management team, he develops sales and marketing strategies, implements and runs the marketing activities for the company.
